Usually means much more walk then dig today. That was fine by me. Just wanted to unwind a bit.

Not much, but even that was ok today.

Kinda reminded me of a music holder?

The base has small screw threads. :dontknow:

Of course, a nice little surprise OTWBTTC. :)
It's marked sterling. Do they still do that today?

Anyway, nice day, nice walk. A Spring precursor.

Thanks for peeking!

Oh! Almost forgot! Found this lil flat button too.

It says "Trebl Gilt Standard Colour"

Thanks again!

Very Nice!!! Congrats!!!

Nice walk, Whadi! You got some fresh air and some keepers! Keep stashing those quarters away for your new rig... Ddf.

I would become a power Walker pulling all those goodies in. Good exercise and cool finds.

no the mark "sterling" stopped in the late 1940s I think and then replaced with the mark "925"..ect

I'm pretty sure that is a music holder and looks like a pretty ornate one.

Congrats on the nice finds! :occasion14:

That's the only thing I can figure. I think it has to be old. Its made pretty solid as opposed to the modern, flimsy things I've seen lately.

Thanks!

That's one thing you can count on. I'll certainly be trying!

Thanks DFX, I was pretty sure that was the case. Just wasn't sure how long ago.

Funny thing you should mention that, I used to do Olympic style walking! Ran marathons too. Maybe that's why I can walk so long......still? LOL

BTB ...anyone know how long music holders like this have been used? I'm thinking this one came from the retired 7th calvary's bugler's bugle.:tongue3:
