onto the Turnpike.

This is a Mid 1800's Stage Road. Very Rocky, & Muddy
& Winds it's way over a Mountain.

On the way up is a Driveway with This House on the end of it.

The House is Dated 1845 according to the Tax Records.

Cool pics of the old house and really neat info on it, 1845 wow that is an old house to still be standing, Has this place been hunted before?, if not I think I would bring a tent and stay awhile. Really nice finds, a great haul of old coins.

Congrats and good luck

Thanks All,

Ed, I'v been told it's been Hunted.
However it's obvious from the trash there,
on top & below ground, It needs a through going over.

Congrats! Nana :)

Congrats on the LC, other finds and nice balls, LOL! HH, Mike

Jeff,
Great post. Any chance of going inside & pulling up boards from the floor or from the walls to find hidden items?
Just a thought.
-MM-

MM, I don't know. There are not any No Trespassing signs

But, the Place looks Unsafe, But Maby, IF I have a Back-up Outside
just in case.

When I first walked up in Front of the house,
I heard a Loud Bang & something Juming
at the upstairs Window.
I Just about Jumped out of My Skin :D

& looked up to see a Squirel :P

Place is Creepy,
& I'm not easily Spooked.

Jeff,
Here is that house I was searching when I found the items hidden behind the wall above a doorway.
http://forum.treasurenet.com/index.php/topic,65648.msg482511.html#msg482511
Yeah, someone there with you would be a good idea. I would try tearing out around the door frames & window frames to start with. That way if you feel uneasy, or hear the house falling, you can get out quickly.
Maybe I've been reading too many books on treasures hidden in old houses, but I would be all over that place. ;D
Good luck & most of all be safe,
MM

WOW Jeff way to go there on the finds. I can't believe that more is not waiting to be found. Good Luck!

Sweeet finds Jeff! The merc is in great condition by the looks of it and the large cent has got to be one of my favorite coins to find,I guess its more about the age of them than anything else because they're usually in pretty poor condition after being in the ground so long. That site looks great too.As far as the old house goes if you can enter without endangering yourself too much a good place to look may be under the kitchen sink.My uncle once found a nice little butter and egg stash under the kitchen sink of an old abandoned house. Not a large stash about $3.00 in silver coin and about 30 pennies but a stash all the same.Seeing the type of site your hunting makes me think, now here's a man after my own heart.Well congrats and keep us posted if you make out the date on that L.C.

Nice finds Jeff. That house makes me think about something I want to try. I am looking in my area for a house that is in sort of that shape. I want to take one down board by board just to see what can be found, I dont know maybe im crazy just something I have always wanted to do. Congrats on the digs!!!

Yes I have thought the same Twister.

But I also realized the Time involved to do that,
and don't think I'v got it :P

At least not the Patience ;D

Jeff,

Just FYI...

Your Chevrolet cowl plate is from a 1953 Bel Air 4 door sedan. It's the first year for the Bel Air name on a Chevy. If the Body No. starts with 'N', it was built in Norwood Ohio (there is no 'M' factory code).

Where's the rest of the car? I need parts! ;D
