Look, we only have one source and description of the alleged TJB and that comes in the only actual source, the original source, and that source details the man to have been of dark and swarthy "complexion." So if this man really existed then he wasn't a Caucasian white male according to the author. This is all I'm pointing out. If posters want to assume otherwise then that's their choice but in doing so then they are once again concluding that even more detail in the narration was intentionally deceptive, inaccurate, and fabricated. So why on earth would they still believe that there was any real treasure?
