This week's halves and nickels beat the skunk -- barely
Did our weekly two boxes of halves and one nickel box yesterday and today. Not as good as last time, but we didn't get skunked either.
Halves:
1 1969D -- only silver...
BUT... a very nice Brilliant Uncirculated 1982 P with no FG initials on the back. This is the nicest one we've found yet. Very cool!
And, three NIFC all 2002.
Nickels:
Got about 36 pre-1960 including four 1939 (all without mintmark), and we got four 1955 D (to go with the ton we already have....) -- All we need to finish our set is the 1950 P and 1955 P. Oh well, will keep trying. We get way more D mint coins and S mint coins here, so that probably explains it....
And we got one War Nickel (1943 S)
Not the best ever, but we'll take it.
On a side note, I sold most of my 40% right at the peak of silver this past week -- got $5 per coin and immediately bought a 1925 Double Eagle in MS-64 in a NGC holder. Very nice coin and it completes my Gold set of $2.5, $5, $10, and $20 all certified. I'll put a picture on the next time I get the camera out. I love getting these old Gold coins for my 40%!!!! Sure takes up less storage room
HH to all!!!
