This weekends road trip yields: 11 pieces of silver jewelry 2 gold

This weekends road trip may have been delayed a week because of the weather, but it was worth the wait. We just got back in couple of hours ago and got everything counted out, pictures taken, and trip stuff stored. We left yesterday morning and stopped and detected a couple of spots we havent been to before. The sum total between us was less than a dollar, but bobbie found the silver necklace and pendant at the second spot. At that time we didnt know it but it was to set the tone for this weekend's finds. A couple of spots later she found her first of 2 silver braclets for the weekend. It is the middle one in her individual picture. I got on the board with the Mickey Mouse silver pendant, and small silver piece off of a bracelet. Our finds definitely picked up from the first couple of spots as between us we ended up with $18.00 yesterday.
Sitting at the hotel last night looking over the spots I had planned for us to detect today, I asked her what did she think is we switched the counties to another one, that had produced more last year. She thought it was a no brainer. So this morning instead of heading east we headed south. Bobbie scored first again today with the 14k yellow and rose gold pendant at the first spot. The next spot produced 2 silver rings for Bobbie and the silver earring. I found the chunky silver
I Love You bracelet there.
Next spot I found the silver and onyx ring. The next spot produced only some junk jewelry for Bobbie. All of the spots we detected today had no problem producing ample amounts of clad for both of us as well. The next to the last place gave up the nicest of the jewels it is a sterling silver Louis Vuitton bracelet. Found of course by Miss Bobbie. Last spot for today I found my gold for the weekend a 14k ring that says "Baby".
We added another $24.00 in clad today.
So our road trips totals $42.00 in clad between us, 3 silver rings, 3 silver bracelets, 1 silver necklace, 2 silver pendants, 1 silver earring, 1 silver misc. 1-14k pendant, 1-14k ring. There are several picts so may take a bit
Congrats to all that got out this weekend

You two are awesome! A couple of questions, what type of detectors do you all use and do you all melt down the silver and gold items?

Hey Master Sarge, we both use shadow-x2s. They are about 9 years old. Bobbie wont use anything else but a shadow so we own 4 of them. When Bobbie first started detecting with me, it will be 7 years ago in September she started with my original x2 and never wanted to use anything else. I used a couple of other machines the first couple of years we detected. In February 2004 I started back to detecting with a x2 also and have used it exclusively since. Like I said above we own 4 of them 2 of each frequency, thus we generally have very little cross talk between the machines.
Now do we melt our silver and gold. We send one shipment a year to Midwest refineries of gold and one silver. Our last silver being sent was just over 16.3 ozs. Now what dont we sell or melt. No high karat gold is sold so no 18k, 20k, 21k, 22k are ever shipped nor is any relegious jewelry smelted
thanks and hh
