Took a mini-road trip Saturday. It didn't pan out all that well as most of the banks didn't have any bags of coins to sell me. Just bad timing, or bad luck.

Between the few banks I did stop at, I ended up picking up

$103 in loose halves ($22 from bank, $81 from another)
2 - $500 bags of dimes
2 - $100 bags of nickels
4 - $50 bags of pennies
1 - $100 box of nickels

oh and $200 in $1 bills since I couldn't find any coins at the end. (oldest were a couple of 1988A series bills and no star notes)

Was planning on picking up much more, but just was not to be.

From the $103 in loose halves
------------------------------------
2 - 40% Kennedy (1968-D(2))
1 Foreign (Ireland, 1 Pound (1998))
1 Kennedy Error (1973-D DDO)
3 Bayfront Blues Festival Tokens (1989(2), 1996)
2 dimes
1 puffy cat sticker

From the first $500 bag of dimes
---------------------------------------
2 Canadian (1975, 1981)
2 pennies
1 plastic dime

From the second $500 bag of dimes
-------------------------------------------
1 pre-1965 Roosevelt (1964-D)
4 Canadian (1973, 1979, 1985, 1994)
2 Foreign (Italy, 1 Euro Cent (2002), Poland, 2 Grosze(2002))
3/4 of a penny
1 pop tab

From the first $100 bag of nickels
----------------------------------------
20 pre-1960 Jefferson (1939(2), 1941(2), 1946, 1947-D, 1952, 1953-D, 1954-D, 1955-D, 1957-D(6), 1958, 1958-D(2), 1959-D)
1 Foreign (France, 5 Euro Cent (1999))
2 dimes
2 pennies
2 flattened pennies
2 namco arcade tokens
1 unknown "EP" token
1 key with the #455 on it

From the second $100 bag of nickels
--------------------------------------------
26 pre-1960 Jefferson (1940, 1940-S, 1946(2), 1946-D(2), 1948-D, 1953, 1954-D(3), 1954-S, 1955-D(2), 1956-D, 1957-D(4), 1958-D(6), 1959-D)
3 Canadian (1981, 1986, 2000)
1 Foreign (Mexico, 20 Centavos (1994))

Also grabbed one Canadian quarter out of the reject slot (2000 Pride)

And last but not least, I stopped at an antique store after closing time and bought a couple of odds and ends.
The first three were in the 1/2 price bowl
1933-D wheat penny in VF (paid $3)
1931-D wheat penny in Fine (paid $2.50) <--9th lowest mintage wheat and one I still needed
1938-D Jefferson nickel in XF/AU (paid $0.75) <--couldn't resist at the price

Then I decided to buy 6 old misc copper coins for $2.50 just for fun
Canada, Large Cent (1858 or 1859, date is worn off)
Italy, 10 Centesimi (1866)
France, 10 Centimes (1862)
Great Britain, 1/2 Penny (1912)
Great Britain, 1 Penny (1903)
Great Britain, 1 Penny (1938) <--red/red-brown in at least XF and maybe AU (great detail)

Almost forgot, here's a couple of closeups of the 1973-D DDO.

Great stuff GMan. Since you're a couple of weeks away from compiling your year-end totals, a list of the non-coin bag finds (pull tabs, keys, etc.) would really be funny. Do you keep this stuff? I picture a metal can full of these things.

I keep most of it, but some of the really trashy stuff (i.e. pop tab) I toss. I've been throwing it all in the bottom of a half dollar box that has other stuff in as well, so I haven't really looked to see how much has accumulated.

Also just finished the box of nickels.
1 - 1943-S War Nickel
22 other pre-1960 Jefferson (1939(2), 1940, 1940-D, 1941(2), 1942, 1946, 1947, 1951, 1951-D, 1953, 1954-D(2), 1956-D, 1957-D(2), 1958-D(3), 1959-D(2))

7 Canadian (1984, 1985(2), 1986, 1992, 1997, 1999)

1 Foreign (Bahamas, 5 Cents (2000))

Oh and in one of the bags of pennies I spotted a 1935-D wheat peeking out at me, guess that'll have to be for another night though.

I noticed you found an EP token.
I found one, too - brass looking and heavy.
They look like high quality tokens.
I wonder where they come from?

Did the bag of pennies with the 1935-D poking out at me last night.

Stil have to error search it, I'll update the post if I find anything. Either way one of my better bags

34 Canadian (1958(2), 1959, 1964, 1965, 1969(3), 1970, 1973, 1974, 1975(2), 1979, 1980, 1981, 1983(3), 1985, 1986, 1990(3), 1994(3), 1996, 1998, 2000(2), 2004(3))
