This site is not worth being part of

Sure like the colors of the site pretty easy on the old eyes. One thing I'm missing though is when I was on the Active Topic page I just click on a topic and it opened in a new Frame after reading or replying I just closed it and I was still on the Active Topic Page are you planning to do that again? hope so as it's getting a little tiresome pushing the back button.:happysmiley:

It sounds like when you clicked a link it opened in a new window?

I prefer to usually leave pages like Active Topics open in one window and then open the links I click on in a new tab. For example, in Chrome if I hold shift down while I click a link, it opens it in a new tab. Then I can do this 5 or 6 times... and switch to those tabs and close them after I'm done reading.

But that's something the browser supports, not the site itself.

Sorry Cru, the email notification for PM's doesn't seem to be working otherwise I would have got back to you. I'll PM you later

Hammered,

Are you sure you have your account set to receive an email notification upon PM? It should go out right away, and one of the neat things about the new system is that the email that's sent to you contains the full PM. Or in the case of a reply to thread/post notification, it contains the full post. That way you can read them while your on the go and decide if it's something that needs immediate attention.

THE NEW T-NET SUCKS !!!!!!!!!! THIS USED TO BE THE BEST SITE ON THE NET ,WHAT THEY HAVE DONE IS SACRILEGIOUS !!!!!!!!!WHAT DUMBA$$$$$$$ came up with this ??????????

I personally do not like the new Tnet. It reminds me of the many other forums. Tnet just had a unique feel to it, but this one will have to grow on me. I will stick around to see how it works.

I would suggest to the new owners and moderators to revert to the blank space for the avatar if there is not one used by the person, instead of the pirate guy because it gets confusing when you see a bunch of pirates to track who is who instantly.

Still a great place for information and it keeps my dream alive of finding something really great someday. Gold, Gold and more Gold.

Is there a link to the why's and the wherefore's concerning the transition? Does Marc still own TNet? It is somewhat like walking into a well-known house and finding the walls re-configured. Things do change and people find comfort in the few things that remain constant in life, hence the conflict. Some details of what happened and why may allow an easier mental transition for many. Please let me know if I've missed it, or if not for public disclosure. I don't think any would find fault - this is a nice UI - if this was a new site without as much history as forum dot treasurenet dot com.

This thread has some of the Why's, but it's long: http://www.treasurenet.com/forums/g...w-software-help-bug-glitch-report-thread.html

The short version, the old software was old, outdated and had many security holes and had a lot of custom code written long long ago.

TNet was sold, and the thread was posted on the old site (which still lives on here: http://www.treasurenet.com/forums/general-discussion/283037-status-treasurenet-com.html)

Thanks John. I wish you and the new site the best of luck. Keep up the good work!

Yea,not crazy about the changes...

This is the worst thing to ever happen here on t-net , wait I'm sorry ,,, rest in peace t-net --------------- this is not t-net anymore ,it's newtreasurenet ...... Notice you don't see the familiar faces anymore .The have gone to new sites .....................................(old sites )

Besides, I now know there is a very buxom blond who wants to meet me that lives just 3.5 miles from my internet provider's location thanks to one of the sponsors.

This site is functionally the same, and technically better. It has a new look but it is 100% functionally the same and seems faster. As always, change is met with resistance. Charlie, nice little find you got there.
