Looks like you've found some decent boxes lately. Anything better than a skunk box is a good box to me.

H$H!

Hay ERobertson: besides the wheat cents you save, are you pulling out & saving the copper cents (1959 thru 1981)??? I don't see any mention of them in your findings.

I have held on to some copper.

Recently, I switched to searching nickels and halves to show my children the fun of collecting.

They both have embraced the work/joy of finding a treasure to keep.

I will be posting a pic of my oldest and his silver finds soon.

That was a good nickel box. Congrats to you and your son. Good to see you are able to enjoy the hobby with your children.

That's awesome! I am happy to hear that you're able to spend time with your children and enjoy a mutual hobby!

What do you all do with your NIFC clad coins? Is anybody buying them on eBay or do you just hold onto them?

I am holding on to them.

Low #'s produced, not as many around.

This last nickel box I searched was very good to me.

Ones to hold on to :

Nice. Any time you can pull a buffalo AND a war nickel out of a nickel box, you've get a good box. Any time I can pull just one buffalo or war nickel out of a box, I'm very happy. Pulling both out is a bonus box for sure.

CRHing is like the scratch-off lottery tickets. You score once or twice and you're hooked. Then it's all skunks for you.

Actually you can make money off thrown away scratchers. Usually, I find a winner from thrown away tickets once every 200-300. I've actually made more off that as a hobby than CRH this year since CRH has been so poor in my area and it is poor. They've gone to all paper wrappers now it really sucks. I actually thought before to start a Lotto Ticket Hunting thread but I'm not sure what section that would go in. I never bought any lotto tickets this year period. I usually get the thrown away tickets in the liquor stores and enter them for second chance to win. Of course, I've never won that big prize but that would be the day if I do. I tend to think that most people that play scratchers around these parts are immigrants or drunks. Sometimes, it's hard to notice that it's a winner when you're a drunk bum.
