Since the weather is dismal where I live (cannot do anything outside), I decided to give this coin roll hunting a try.

While at the bank, I obtained 2 rolls of dimes and a roll of halves.

Dime Roll 1 : SKUNK

Dime Roll 2 : SKUNK

Halves Roll : 1967

I am hooked now ~!

:headbang:

If there was one 40% in one roll you should get more from the same bank.

Your response gives me more incentive to go back tomorrow !

This is fun !

congrats on your find...too bad you not in So Cal,,, lots of Silver from what I hear

Went to the bank yesterday (Saturday), but did not sort till today (Sunday).

I was not crystal clear on that.

However, I do believe a few banks have some locations open on Sundays (in big box stores, like WalMart).

Some Chase locations were recently open to assist Target breach people, but that was temp.

In my area there are quite a few different banks open on Sundays. Sunday is one of my main dump days.

Took lunch break and went to the post office. Used some of the halves that I got Saturday and bought stamps/mailed report.

Stopped by bank on way back to work. Picked up a roll of halves, a roll of nickels and 4 rolls of pennies.

Halves : skunk

Nickels : skunk

Penny Roll 1 : skunk

Penny Roll 2 : 1959 D

Penny Roll 3 : 1 Canadian (1999)

Penny Roll 4 : 1945 Wheat

I did notice that the Penny and Nickel rolls were LOOMIS and the Halves were BRINKS.

The roll I got the 40% one in on Saturday was "hand rolled"...........

Been busy with normal work since the first of the year.

Picked up 6 penny rolls and 2 quarter rolls this past Friday and sorted through them during downtime at work.

Pretty much skunked all around............

My luck will be better next time :occasion14:

CRHing is like the scratch-off lottery tickets. You score once or twice and you're hooked. Then it's all skunks for you.

Unlike lottery tickets, with CRH you can only gain money, not lose money. Makes CRH just that much better.

Wrong. I've been shorted both in rolls I receive from the bank and when I get my coins counted in a coin counter. However, most of the time, the hobby has a slight monetary gain if done correctly.

50 cent out.

Fidty,

I will write your response down and use it the next time I am at the bank.

I am coaching both of my son's baseball teams. Can you give me any lines to tell the umpires when they blow a call ?

LOL
