I've started by crhing and that's why I came to this forum. I've always been interested in metal detecting. So now I think I'm going to buy a metal detector and start doing it around my town. My town is a small town with a population around 6k however it is a very historical town with lots of events that happened in it. The population in the 40s spiked to 20k meaning lots of people and lots of lost stuff. I am however unsure on what detector to get. I'm hoping to get assistance on it. I have a budget of $150 and if I enjoy it I'll probly upgrade to something better in the future.

I would second that.....in that price range the Tesoro would be a good choice. Good quality detector also.

Is this the one you were referring to? There is another but its black and has a hole in the coil
