Hey hey diggers !
Old man winter is knocking on my front and back door now...its the end of the detecting season for me in 2024.
Time to put all the good stuff together and sort out the rest of the finds . You've all seen some of my more interesting finds from the spring and many of my fall finds but there was a secret stash I've been squirreling away in a flower pot in my porch of all the stuff that never got posted. I would empty my pouch of trash a sort out the neat stuff for further study. In the end I had a pretty impressive bunch of interesting nitnoids and good pile of those everyday things that we find on a regular basis.
Theres at least a pound of buttons in the middle!

Oh and the 'Stack of Doom' aka my trash..

An 11 liter pail topped with 3 1/2 four litre buckets of all my junk ( 6-7 gallons) to sort for recycling etc.
It's so much trash...so many holes!

What a blast this year was....I'll put up some of the best finds in a couple of weeks...stay tuned!

Is that a toy derringer or real one?

That’s great exercise
Nice assortment for recycling
Thanks for sharing

It sure adds up, and it takes time to sort.
Probably just as long as the hunting time.
Sorting, cleaning, deciding if it's going for scrap or not.
I see a few nice looking items in the pile.
Well done on the amount of recoveries.

Tons of cool and interesting things or more likely a piece of one or something that is nondescript.
It's crazy how from year to year you find so many targets and then the process of finding its next home and getting it there...you said it...its work!
But I heard someone say once that if you love what you do and can make money from it you'll never work a day in your life...I cant call it work or a living but I sure love it!

Honestly I have no idea
I gave literally dozens away to crafters for this and that over the years. I have some strung together on doorknobs etc around the house.
I know theres a pail full somewhere too...over the years hundreds of all shapes and sizes
They still bring a smile every time I see one in the dirt.
I gift often to the Mrs of the permissions for a Xmas decoration.
