First time I use it so I take my new ACE 250 to my grandparents place and figure I'd try under the clothesline for coins. My daughter and I found a bunch of quarters and change. Then bingo, a silver 1960 dime about 6" down. Identified on the machine as a .50 cent peice but in the "silver" bracket. This stuff is a lot of fun..!

I fdound a couple pennies last evening. They were about 8" or so down.. I was under the impression that the ACE 250 was only good to aboout 6"? I'm not complaining.

A side note. This hobby is addicting. Like I need another hobby that is potentially expensive.

WTG! Don't forget to recheck the same hole with your detector,might be another down there.Are you using the standard coil or the 9x12? The larger coil will add 11/2 - 2" on depth.Goodluck!
