"There's already been three people that have metal detected here." Although this quote by the home owner may be true, they must not have found much. I had a five silver day, which is one of my personal bests! I found two mercs ('34 and '44), a '47 Rosie, a '45 war nickel, a 1940 Washington quarter, 7 wheaties, a 1901 IHP, and a 1935 buffalo nickel! I guess the fourth time is the charm.....and if you have $1000 in expert equipment and a couple years of experience

That's a great day in my book. I hit a 1800's brick home, was told by the owner that the place was hunted 4 other times, and that it was okay with him. Found my first silver their. An 1874 Seated dime, I also found a 1938 nickle. Last fall I hunted another property, again was detected many times before. Found a merc a rosie, and a 2 or 3 wheats.
