This could have been deadly

Hate when that happens!

Wow man I've lived on the beaches all my life and never seen anything like that. I was worried about that kid and the puppy... they must have seen you running and got the hint.

Thats nuts!

Watching the news last night. Looks like those same waves are washing houses off the cliffs in southern California.

Woah!! That's crazy!

Yeah, rogue waves are no fun, especially around a jetty like that. The water can get funneled into a concentrated blast. You definitely have to keep your eyes and ears open when hunting an area like that, and don't turn your back to the surf!

I saw that coming...and my stomach lurched when the kid was running down toward the water with the puppy. Thats the kind of thing that makes news stories.

My first reaction was, "what happened to the kid and dog?".

That's why I always live by the code of never turning your back to the ocean.

That serious stuff. Exactly why I never turn my back to the surf when conditions are rough.

The sand under your feet would blow out and disappear...
as the force against your legs catches...
Bam...
Down you go...
Done...
your gone.

God bless you if you just happen to be close to the rocky area when it hits.

Not good.

I saw that happen once when rosie odonnell fell off a yacht

We have had a few in the last week or two. They are a pain in the ..you know what! Especially when you have a beach box set up in a creek. I beach comb a lot, find a lot of glass net floats. Any more I try to hit the beach at low tide. Gives me a little extra distance.

OV, don't you wear your arm floaties?

LOL, ok

Does our peyton have one more great game for us?

Btw ... I will take the panthers. heh
