Think it's a gun?

Think I've found a gun of some sort on my way Rd metal detecting outing.. Not sure what type of gun it is? Any thoughts appreciated

How heavy is it? Are there remnants of springs where the grips are? Those are good clues if it’s a real gun or a toy.
Still a nice find!

I'm still out detecting guys I will post and updated picture soon as I go home and clean it up

Look at the size of your gloved fingers, and compare that with the
size of the trigger guard. I believe it's made for a small hand.

seems to be a toy gun I think from what I've googled.

Yeap, found a few cap guns, the worst one had a red ants nest in it. Took me awhile to realise!
