Investing in the 1715 salvage efforts?? Is there much left to be found??

I've never invested in any shipwreck exploration or salvage. But if ever, it would be to help and would prefer it be on a 1715 lease contract. There used to be a lot of hype about finding the Queen's jewels. If it was me, if the Queen's jewels actually do exist, there would be gold artifacts recovered which can be identified as being made for royalty. so far, only 1 of the 1715 wreck sites can qualify.

According to Jack Haskins, the queen's jewels were on the capitana, and floated away as bags of indigo or cochineal would. They could be anywhere. But if they sank quickly from the wrecking of the capitana, then they should be somewhere in the vicinity of Corrigan's wreck site.

Nice gold cup! Remember seeing a cup once from the Margarita they found in the early days of discovery.

I was referring to the Phoenix bird which would have held a vial of oil for anointing. The vial was missing and a gold part also. I'm thinking either Capt Hawk or somebody else found the missing gold from artifact. I don't know how the royal family would have used the oil anointing, but in Biblical times King David by a prophet using anointing ceremony, made him a new king. Phoenix bird the researchers decided could represent the resurrection.

Correction, it was Capt Bonnie on the Gold Hawg. From what i can remeber, they thought at first the bird a pelican. Artistic quality identified as being for royalty. Opinion during research changed Phoeinix bird (maybe ended up back to pelican).

It was initially considered to be a phoenix, but ultimately decided to be a "pelican in piety" (google the meaning), a common religious icon in colonial times. I grew up in Louisiana, a strong Catholic base, and this was the state flag from 1912-2010. The pelican is the state bird.

Bonnie Schubert and her mom found the pelican in 2010. Capt. Henry Jones and the crew of the Perfect Day found the missing wing in almost the same spot in 2020.
