Been a while since I found a big silver. Even Washington's are starting to get hard to find, let alone something bigger. This turned out to be a good hunt with 5 wheat cents, a silver Roosie, and the Walker. The silver cleaned up very well. Sorry, I didn't take a before photo. They were mainly covered in that gray haze that silver gets in favorable ground. No heavy crust or black tarnish, so, an easy clean up. Lots of ammo brass, but, my hunting partner found 3 time what I did! A Zippo lighter, 1993 dog license from Templeton, Ca, A campground token, Knife, military insignia, some clad, and a junk ring round out the finds.

Cudamark you did great !! Looks like you were at a war zone or target range

That walker (I know what that is now) cleaned up really good like the one I found. Why is that, has it not been in the ground as long? Also, coins get mucky, is there a point that they won’t get any worse, like all the damage that can be done has been done?

Sorry if dumb questions but I am really trying to learn this, and I’ve filled up a page of a notepad so far with what I’ve been taught here.
