Any suggestions on a descent scoop?Planning on doing some more water hunting without a shovel :laughing7:

Mine is the "Stealth" by Sunspot. A very good scoop. Large enough not to have to rescoop a bunch. Usually get the target on the first try.

Thanks for the info :icon_thumright: I've been looking at this 2nd one from the top http://www.proscoops.com/

Its good for the dry sand, but you need something with a "diamond" shape scoop for the water. They are more practical, especially when you have a good cut and are faced with big rocks. You want to minimize the time you are spending recovering a target, because there are plenty of junk targets in the water you have to dig to get the gold. D-Dub has both, and won't use anything but the diamond head scoop in the water.

Great info and thanks!8'' scoop right? http://www.ebay.com/itm/19063218911...89115&_sacat=See-All-Categories&_fvi=1&_rdc=1

Yeah, but I didn't pay that much for it. If I remember correctly, I paid around $140, and that was with shipping.

Funny you should ask. I just asked D-Dub the same question. It depends on what angle you are looking at it. I can clearly see one, and at certain times and different angles of looking at it, especially when it's dark and I have a weird light source, I see two. :icon_scratch: It seems like the "star" wants to "pop" from different angles. I LOVE this stone. It's my favorite ring find so far.(because of the sapphire)
