There's gotta be one better than the others....

Hey folks just wondering what your experiences have been with small recirculating sluices, they all claim to capture the most gold, leave you with little dirt, and be the best, there have to be some or one that stands out from the crowd. I know some of it boils down to personal preference, and I am sure to some degree they all work, but I know some people have to have tried several and found one they love. I would consider the best qualities being one that doesn't miss much, can catch flake and fine gold, and leaves you with the smallest amount of black sand/concentrate. I have been looking and looking and looking and looking and they all claim to be the best, what do you think?

The best thing i have found gold hog mats. I have a home made power sluice. They catch the fine gold. Leave a small amount of cons. You can make them fit most any sluice. Gold hog tests there mats and they are make for changing conditions. Go to the gold hog web site. They explain every thing. Also can work with lower water flow. But it comes down to what ever will fit your needs. Your doing the research so you should be able to make the right chose.

Gold hog mats! I'll try the "Razorback" on my Prospectors choice 33" stream sluice!

Ditto on the Gold Hog Matt's which I use in my re-circ unit (Royal Folding unit).
They seem to do MUCH better than the original Miners carpet and expanded metal etc.

And as you mention, it is a personal preference also.
Everyone has there favorite that they have dialed in for themselves, and therefore works great for that person.

But as far as best "off-the shelf" Small Recirculating Systems, I have my eye on the Gold Cube.
I would use it for Cons mainly. I see it working great back at camp running all the cons from a full day of drywashing and from what I've seen, they seem to require much less water compared to a larger recirculating sluice needing more water capacity/flow.
No expert here so just speculating based on demos and videos.

A miller table is also on my list for all the black sands and super fines I know are still in the buckets.
That might be a DIY project though down the road.

Good luck.

fghjk.jpg I have this one coming from Colorado goldsticks. to run at home, I also have his reglar size as well. it has beach box matting and miners mat. so far I really like the full size one . so I'm hoping this little one with beach box matting does me well .

Interesting. This company has a whole line of gear but I've never seen it in use here in CO. I've never heard good or bad about them from anyone here...weird.

yea I here ya. ive been using my stream sluice for three years now from them and I really like it.my hybanker is built super nice ,there isn't much info about users out there.

Yup that's the one I am referring to. They look pretty effective and are fairly affordable. Only thing that might hold me back would be having to feed it slow but I guess that's about the going rate for feed rates on these small recirculating sluices.

EasyCleanGoldSystemProModel.jpg teddy made me this one .black sand washes away gold stays put.its just that cool

Do you know which size Prospector's Choice your buddy has? So you've used your new one from Colorado Gold Sticks? Are you able to just use a snuffer bottle to get the gold right off the mat?

washplant.jpg20160403_072521.jpghers a custom sluice from those guys made for me a few years back .I use it a lot still.its got the beach box matting in it. black sands wash away and gold really does stay in those channels. in between those matting strips the bare metal acts like small boilers or little eddys when dirt gos through it.i was nervous about it at first but it really classifies as ya scoop dirt into it .but I do screen into a bucket first.any ways I liked it so much that's why I got the new one. I havnt used it yet, but I have about 4 gallons of cons I'm gonna sit down and run through. ill let ya know how it does
