There's GOLD in that there hole!

This weekend was stressful, as I'm in the process of moving from NJ to PA. Needed to get outside and clear my head. So grabbed the DFX and headed to my honey hole. Never let's me down. This was about 3" down and was a jumpy signal. I figured for that shallow, I could take a minute to dig. So glad I did! The clasp says 22k and has some middle eastern writing. Not sure what any of it means except: GOLD!

Nothing prettier than high karat gold. Great find.

Absolutely beautiful ! Could you please put up several more clear close pictures ?- are these genuine pearls on the necklace ? and finally
what does it weigh (grams ) ?

Awesome, :headbang:

22k gold is 90% pure gold.. (14k gold is 58% pure gold) It has a substantial price difference. Being possibly from the middle eastern areas you can bet its the real deal too. Seems everywhere in the world except America high Karat gold is a huge status symbol and they love to show it off... India, so much that country is having a hard time keeping up with the demand.. Again, awesome find !! :notworthy:

Keep @ it and HH !! :hello2:

Man they like the high karat gold over there. Beautiful find.
Congrats.

:o Yes GOLD baby , that is a Great find . middle eastern writing :icon_scratch: Not sure what , :dontknow: the writing possibly means " may a sex crazed rhino fall in love with your VW " .........

I'm assuming the pearls are real. Don't have the means to weigh it. And my "close ups" are my iPhone aided by a magnifying glass. But the only markings are on this clasp.

Ya know, I just gotta ask. Why do you need all the extra information about the find? I'm not saying that in a bad way, just wondering why it is sooooo necessary on this site? Why, you can't even post about a find without a picture without being buggy whipped! LOL ;)

Isn't nice enough that the OP shared his wonderful find? :dontknow:

What you have to remember is that the government has spies everywhere. Whenever anyone asks about "worth" or "price", they are working for the IRS. 'Nuff said.

Very, very pretty necklace. Congrats on the beautiful find! :occasion14:

Whadifind , I actually agree with you , I can see how this line of questioning could be perceived as annoying and none of my damned business ,
As a jeweler and silversmith - I also know the nature of my questions is coming from a different place - Over the tenure of my time on this site
if you look at my posts - (on balance ), I have tried to offer more than just a "congrats " or "nice find " typically I've been able to offer insights
on pieces of "Native American " jewelry , or silver jewelry in general , and to a lesser extent American coins . I apologise if I've come off as too
pedantic , or worse - a know it all - I certainly am humbled by the knowledge you all bring every day , and I'm learning so much !!! Cheers !

I think I see them hiding in the bushes behind you right now.

One doesn't need to disclose what one doesn't want to on this site... but sometimes it can help to know how deep and how large or small a target is in researching detector capability. I don't have enough experience finding high-karat gold to know how my detector would react to it. Chains with small links also can be very difficult to detect.

Whether or not DogTiredNJ wants to say more about it, it is a spectacular find! :occasion14:

Great find. Hope your move goes smooth. I will be moving myself in about 8 months from Illinois to Oklahoma. I'm already stressing out.

Sorry I'm not very observant... I did not notice the pearls. They look real and I'm sure they are real. Real pearls are not perfectly round. You can also rub them across the front of your teeth. If gritty like sand paper then they should be real, if they are smooth on the teeth then they are likely fake but.. Being a 22k gold chain its almost 100% likely they are real. People don't normally put fake stones in high karat gold. I'd get this piece properly appraised maybe insured. Take it to the post office or a hardware store they should be able to weigh it for you ? :notworthy:

As for the comments about asking questions... For a lot of people, information like that and pictures and hallmarks are just part of enjoying what we like to do... Its what the forum is about... :headbang:

Keep @ it and HH !! :hello2:
