That is until today......My hunting pal Nickel_buff1935 (aka. Kevin) and i decided to head out to a home i hit a few years ago...This place i hold dear to my heart....It is the yard where i found my very first Seated liberty dime....It was a beautiful 1875 CC....We would have found more at this site however my father told his hunting buddy and he decided the next day to visit the site and ask permission for him and his 4 friends.....So needless to say... The day my pops and i hit it...We found almost 20 silvers....Well after his pals hit it they found a ton more....(i almost injured him...In fact i may still).....So to make a long story short...I have hit this site several times over the years....And it always seems to produce....Tonight was no different. We had stopped and bought the homeowner some African violets to plant as a thank you for allowing us back to hunt...Well she proceeded to tell me how she lost a gold earing along the hedge row....So i assured her i would try my hardest to locate it. Well We worked down the hedge i was digging every blip....I look over and see Kevin pull a 1953? rosey out of the ground...I was happy yet mad.....I was looking for a earing he was digging silver....lol. Well less than 2 minutes later i pulled a 54 rosey from under the hedge. Well i was plenty satisfied with that yet still looking for the earing. After clearing down the inside of the hedge i decided to try the outside. Nothing....I could not find it. Well i came back into the main yard....Just as i took one swing i hit a decent signal. The problem was i also hit a trash signal almost on top of it. So i decided to dig anyway and see what it was. Well 2 inches down i pulled this beautiful 1876 CC seated dime....I was shocked!!! (did not realize it was a CC until i rinsed it off at home. I was so thrilled i almost fell over. I called Kevin over and saw the look of $&*(%& on his face...hehe....Well we stayed another hour...The days take for me was....

The scratches are minor. A beautiful coin, wish I could find a carson mint. I guess they don't grow those in Missouri :)

I think there used to be a driveway right near where i found the dime....After i flipped the plug it was laying right in the middle of it.....All i saw was the back and i figured it would be a barber....Well i was wrong.....But any deeper was loads of the driveway stones...So i bet it sat atop them for a LONG time.

Very nice dime!! XF for sure if not higher!!

My first 1800 breaker was a 1876 Carson City seated dime also. Dident even know what the CC meant at the time and had never seen a seated coin. That is one cool coin I love em.

Yeah we had a great couple of hours at that site ;D

My Rosie actually was a 1951 (my 8th silver coin in 29 days)... not that it matters when OutRaged is pulling 1800's silver out of the ground ::)

I also dug a 1937 Wheatie and what has to be an old, old flag pole topper.

The flag pole topper was about 9" deep!
With a massive tree root growing over it.
It was not an easy dig to say the least ;)

What a great hunt!
I'm glad OutRaged had this place to fall back on after we went property owner hunting earlier...

We had zero luck contacting property owners for some promising fields in the area...

There has to be some nice relics/silver in 'em!

wseeeet finds love the seated,, i got the exact same coin,, i had to call my wife from the woods !! thought i hit the lottery.... :) :) :) :) :) :) :) :)

I thought OutRaged was gonna blowout another set of pants when he pulled that dime outta the ground :D

He probably would have been jumping up and down with joy if he wasn't down on his knees!
