I went to my friends house on Super Bowl Sunday. Well I don't care for football so I went hiking up in the hills behind their house. I came across this interesting rock. As you can see, there are gouges or cuts in it. I took some pics and went back to ask about it. My friend said it has been there since they bought the place many years ago and has always had the cut marks in it. They think because the area was Indian territory long ago it must be related but I have doubts. It weighs about 40 pounds. It's bigger than it looks in the picture. Appears to be a large chunk of really hard sandstone. What do you guys think? Any ideas? :dontknow:

:dontknow: Would it be normal to plow up on a hill like that? It's as good a guess as any. ;D

Possibly plow marks?
It was probably in the ground and plowed over many times before it was finally pulled up. Tony

It looks like tere are smaller rocks all around. If they are of the same material I agree with the plow marks. Monty

Implement marks. Could be plow, but probably a disc, they tend to leave nice narrow straight marks like this.
