Then & now

This was known as macoroni town because of all the Italians that lived
there and how it looked on a 1927 Sanborn map.

And heres how it looks today

I've picked it over pretty good and was'nt able to find much today, but
did come up with another old miners tag

A high school track meet medal (S.H.S Interclass Meet) and the back is
dated 1930

And the only coin I found was a 1940d lincoln

Man you know theres stuff there. Picture me drooling......

Keep diggin'...

Re: Then & now

Wow, are all the buildings gone, even the school shown on the map?
Looks like a place with great potential, but also a lot of work.
Good luck!

Re: Then & now

That's some GREAT research, Mon! :o Those are some fantastic finds, too! Gotta me more there under all that grass! Bushhog? ;D

Nana ;)

Re: Then & now

Wonderful finds. . . I absolutely love the track medal!

About that 1940-D Lincoln. . . I've NEVER seen one like that with the mint-mark so close to the date; You might want to get an opinion from the "Coin" section of this forum. . . it could be an error :o
