Note the coins in the background (appear to be dimes) as well as the nail just to the very right of it for size reference.
I'd like to see a picture of one of the million keys that has a heavy duty "single bit" or tooth for the sake of people who don't know the right word.

The key you found isn't a typical barrel key. Commonly also referred to as keg keys. These are what they look like.
Barrel key meaning the shaft is hollow at the tip
Ok then : I see the letter "A".
