That is truly sad. I enjoyed his posts as well. I seem to recall there was some type of issue but not clear about the specifics. I was cautioned some time ago by a person who used to post here, who lives near me. He told me of a similar story and as a result he withdrew from the site and is generally covert about his detecting activities when speaking with others.

This shark pit issue confirms the conversation I had with the other individual. I am consciously vague about where I detect and while it is doubtful anyone could figure out where I detect from any pictures I could take of spots, I don't post those types of pictures because there always seems to be someone will take the extra-ordinary steps to figure it out. Greed...seems to be the easy way for some. Those of us who do research and put in the time to locate the best spots have to be aware that there will always be a few to spoil it for the rest of us honorable folks. I'd like to believe the best in people, but there have been enough times where I've been snookered for me to be more cautious and less trusting.

Please didn't we all go through this last year.....really.....let it go people. He's not the only person this has happened to. I've hunted with the guy, nice guy. My personal opinion - he let the bad guy win by running away. What did removing his posts, pictures or web site resolve? Not the issue at hand. Oh well - his loss. There are to many great people out here with great finds to look at, for me to be worrying about someone crying over a public site. You can find out just about anything over the internet these days, you don't need someone to tell you about it. To much drama for me, sorry! Life is to short - get over it and move on.....

For me...it's time to sit back with an adult beverage and enjoy reading about today's finds. Have a good day! HH! Mini
