Yes you did! You missed the "we have to suspend the free market to save the free market" speech right?
At least he did not enact job killing legislation outright and ram it down our throats. And he tried several times to tell Americans that there was a crisis developing. I remember exactly how B Frank and the rest of them made fun of him and called him a fear monger,, even saying thjere was absolutely no danger of a housing crisis.

But he did show that Keynsian Economics works for a very short term. As we are still experienceing it all you can tell of the effects is the inflationary costs of anything you need. Don't worry. That will change soon enough too. If Bernanke can't keep up the music a great many people will be caught without a chair!

Let me help you on your quest for understanding the conversation Bum. Here are the highlights. So that you know why there was an "IF". Too bad you are going after a vapor trail here. Don't know why you would purposely omit posts from your rant against me, but I have included the posts so that you have another chance to read them.

What makes you think "IF" has no possibility? Ever see a history book?

Let me help you on your quest to be condescending to me, which I object to. I not only can read, but I can comprehend what I read. I own literally hundreds of history books and I've read them all.

Your statement is: "If" you allow the government to control the wealth you will be a slave to government.

In fact, here's your whole post:

Free or low cost I wonder what higher education system teaches that things can be free if only we all pitch in? If we get the free stuff you seek we will get the chains the rulers seek, and we will all be indentured servants to the government. ( Even indentured servitude is too light, that term had a glimmer of hope at the end of the contract that you could be a free man.)

If the government controls all of the wealth so that they can redistribute it as they see fit there will be much more suffering. And since the government produces nothing they will need slaves for the manufacture of goods and working the farms.

You have to decipher your first paragraph - makes no sense to me.

The second paragraph: I said before that the government does not control all of the wealth, nor do they manufacture goods and work the farms.You say "if", I say "no". You can't have it both ways. If your "if" exists, then you have an argument, however it's unsupported by facts. If your "if" doesn't exist, then you have no statement on which to base your "then".

Liberty is an illusion anyway, and I doubt you'd be posting on this board if you really had it. You'd be at the Key Largo Yacht Club cooking billion dollar deals with senators as fuel.

"Slaving" for the manufacture of goods and working on farms is actually like the prostitute joke: We've already established what you are, M'am; now we're just haggling over the price.

As usual your posts are hard to decipher, But I do understand your plight. You mistake great wealth with liberty. Probably because of college brainwashing. You think you are tied and kept down because somebody has wealth and feel that some of it was cheated from you.

I have had quite a few people that worked for me that felt that way. And they would make a great employee if I could afford to pay them 50,000$ an hour. But they would eventually only come in 10 minutes a year anyway,, because it is owed to them.

Your biggest mistake is trying to tell me that I don't like my job or my work,, that I do not have enough money to be happy or that I do not understand what liberty really is. I believe you need to reread those books.

Well, if the communist Europeans are so bad why do they live longer than us? Why is their quality of life so much higher? Both of these facts are true. I don't think women should be punished for having children, nor do I think kids should be denied higher education, nor should old folks be forced onto the street because they don't have a pension.

This country was not founded as a socialist or communist country. People are free to move to one if that is what they want to live under, but don't expect America to become one with out a fight.
