Ben Bernanke has convinced financial markets easy money policies will continue as long as needed. That may be forever, and those place American prosperity and sovereignty at grave risk.

The economy is as sick today as it was prior to the financial crisis and Great Recession. Those were caused by fundamental dysfunctions that remain unfixed.

China, Japan and Germany—the three largest economies after the United States—pursue cheap currency and protectionist growth strategies. Each amasses trade surpluses with the United States to prop up domestic employment.

Sooner or later the new housing and derivatives bubbles will pop, and America will be back in the soup—but it will be a lot hotter this time.

U.S. consumer dollars that buy their products but do not return home to purchase U.S. exports tax demand and push up unemployment. But for easy money those would throw the United States into a depression.

During the Bush prosperity, China printed yuan to purchase dollars and U.S. securities. Those drove down interest rates on bank loans and mortgages, helping bankers trade in derivatives, inflate housing prices and keep consumers piling up debt until the house of cards collapsed.

Nowadays, the Fed helps Beijing pass out the drugs. It buys $85 billion in Treasury and mortgage backed securities each month. Those finance Wall Street speculators in the housing marketing and another epidemic of derivatives trading.

Sooner or later the new housing and derivatives bubbles will pop, and America will be back in the soup—but it will be a lot hotter this time.

Cheap credit is driving up prices for farm land and propping up businesses that should fail--securities dealers are hoisting junk on retired investors who can’t get any interest on CDs.

The Fed’s printing press is propping up an already anemic economy. Since October, GDP growth has barely averaged 1 percent.

Americans are taking on too much debt to buy cars—the Detroit Three can credit their financial recovery to replacing cars worn out during the Great Recession with options laden, expensive replacements.

President Obama has pushed down unemployment by persuading young people to earn degrees that provide no gateway to good jobs.

In the end, consumers laboring to pay car loans and mortgages on overpriced homes will cut back spending elsewhere, students and weak businesses will fail on loans, and banks will need another bailout.

The economy will collapse again and then what will the Fed do? The only thing it has left—enable more federal stimulus by printing even more money. Hyper inflation and unemployment above 15 percent could easily follow.

America, welcome to the Weimar Republic—Germany in the 1920s!

It may go better—the economy just slogs along at near zero growth, Americans continue to borrow and sell its prime assets to Chinese, Japanese and German investors and becomes a pitiful recreation of the Middle Kingdom at the time of the Boxer Rebellion.

All this comes as the Obama administration uses the IRS and other federal agencies to target political opponents and relies increasingly on executive orders to get around a Congress that smells something terribly rotten—a president dictating the change he can’t win through popular support.

There are better ways. President Obama could stand up to China, Japan and Germany about mercantilism but he appears to have another agenda.

In 2016, voters in economic crisis will be much more receptive to Hilary Clinton than a Republican preaching personal responsibility and limited government.

Democrats will scapegoat Wall Street, and the left’s long-awaited socialist paradise will be at hand

Remember socialism—the system that makes everyone equally miserable.

It's all our fault?

I believe he is just pointing out the economy was never properly fixed during the first bail-out . Especially the banks . The FOXES are guarding the proverbial hen house ....:BangHead:

Remember , Washington had to pass a law that made insider trading illegal for politicians . Funny how it's been illegal for everyone else for as long as I can remember ....:dontknow: Sure gives Conflict of Interest a whole new meaning ...:icon_scratch:

I dunno. What you're talking about, socialism, is what the rest of the first world has in place. Banks? Of course they're going to shake trees, that's called capitalism. However, what we think of as socialism is free to low cost medical care, women who have children given up to three years of maternity leave with pay if they choose, free child care, quality education, affordable housing, education systems that actually place kids where they need to be, university free or at low cost, safe streets, pensions for old people...the list goes on really. If that's evil...?

Is that evil? To have low cost education, free childcare, mothers with long paid maternity leave...ummm duh yes its wrong because nothing is free, somewhere someone has to pay for what someone else gets for free. A woman was overheard in social services department stating as she rubbed her pregnant belly laughingly" here is another $1200 a month" another person asked how many children will the new baby make she said"10". Seriously this lazy whore gets $12000.00 monthly plus other aid all because of our screwed up system that pays women not to work, pays them to get pregnant and oh lets see when it comes time to vote who will they vote for???the person who wants them to get off the couch pr the one who pays them to sit on it.
Policies that weaken is morally weaken is as a whole. Business men will cheat, politician will lie etc etc. when will ppl have enough of this and do something about it. I totally agree with the topic of the post and am sickened by what is easy to see if ppl would look but choose not to because they don't want to face it and hope someone else will take care of it. Well reality punches really hard and its not if but when those ppl get a broken nose from their own stupidity.

It's not the economy that needed fixing, it's bank regulation that needs it. And it's not happening. Understatement.

Until that happens, the economy will be prey for predators. No wonder we feel like Animal Farm.

Free or low cost:laughing7: I wonder what higher education system teaches that things can be free if only we all pitch in? If we get the free stuff you seek we will get the chains the rulers seek, and we will all be indentured servants to the government. ( Even indentured servitude is too light, that term had a glimmer of hope at the end of the contract that you could be a free man.)

If the government controls all of the wealth so that they can redistribute it as they see fit there will be much more suffering. And since the government produces nothing they will need slaves for the manufacture of goods and working the farms.

No thanks, I choose liberty.

Although I cant debunk your EXACT scenario, similar scenarios have been floating around the Internet for years:

The government does not control all of the wealth Dave, nor do they manufacture goods and work the farms. I think if you subsitute the word 'rich' in there, it will be much more accurate.

As a matter of fact, does it matter who we work for as indentured servants? I can't see it does.

How will you choose liberty?

I think you missed the point, willingly. So I will say it again. "If" you allow the government to control the wealth you will be a slave to government.

By your statement I can see that you feel a prisoner for some reason. Why is that? If you don't like your job you can quit. Search out your own destiny if you think you have the willingness to work hard enough for it. But if you want to go through life moaning about those nasty rich people keeping you down while you put out mediocre efforts your destiny is as you feel it it is.

Does it matter then who you are indentured to? Nope. You are happy to be the moderately trapped person you will always be. Please don't step on my efforts just because you lack the initiative.

And that was always the great thing about America, at least until your type of thought started making it so hard to get there. You could be upset about your place and we could all be happy about it, While I would be allowed to chase my dreams through extra effort.

Just think how it well it will work when we are all required to have a nowhere job that we hate! We ain't in Star Trek territory yet, and that show completely ignored free will and human differences.

That is how I would choose Liberty. How do you choose your misery?

I own my own business Dave. Nice try at diversion, but I'm not buying it.

So I will say it again: The government does not control all of the wealth Dave, nor do they manufacture goods and work the farms.

Good for you Bum. I do too. And I will say it again....... IF. Nice try at subverting the text of my post though.

By the way, are you one of those Soros, Rockefeller, Carnegie type people who want to shut the door behind them? That is the worst type of business man. The type that crony capitalism is named for and looks to be the new model for this government.

Hey B L, the state is Maryland and one of our closest friends is a social worker there..the horror stories she could tell you would make you blow your top. We have a friend who just lost everything to a flood and went on asking for assistance and was told every program she asked about was closed to her. She asked why then are there ppl outside filling out the forms for those programs, she was told they were closed to "her" and as she told them that it was racist that because she's white she can't be given the same benefit...mind you they hadn't even checked her financial records yet. The comment was made my a black rep that if they were a black woman with kids there would be no problem..seriously this is what was said. We have taken on her family until they can get back on their feet and it pisses me off how policies which are paid for by our taxes can't come back to where they came from because of political BS.i saw a 5 generation family living all in same house driving Cadillacs pulling in 7k monthly doing nothing but riding the couch. My money paying for it.

IF your "if" never has a possibility, then what is the purpose of your statement?

No.

I think the worst type of business man is the amoral one. Sociopath.

I don't say this often but you are simply full of it.

Feel free to prove us wrong and back up your outrageous claims...

Wife has a coworker, she has 3 adult kids living at home, all are on assistance and all 3 are driving nice new cars.... I know several more, stores the same.......All are milking the welfare system because it is so easy, why go to work whe you can sit home and get paid....

Let me help you on your quest for understanding the conversation Bum. Here are the highlights. So that you know why there was an "IF". Too bad you are going after a vapor trail here. Don't know why you would purposely omit posts from your rant against me, but I have included the posts so that you have another chance to read them.

What makes you think "IF" has no possibility? Ever see a history book?
