The Right To Keep And Bear Cannon

The most expensive parts were the pair of wheels,100 bucks. The other parts, besides the barrel, were made with the metal lying around his garage fabricated into the pieces needed. He got the blue prints, plans, off of the internet for the carriage. The carriage was made with 4x4s,either cut down or whole. It took a little experimenting with the wheels though to get them mounted.Theyre not as sturdy as the real wheels made for field pieces. The wheels are mounted to auto brake drums mounted and welded to a solid steel shaft thats encased in the 4x4 thats running horizontal under the gun.Without the steel shaft the recoil was splitting the axel.
