Funny song. Was even used by to advertise the Olympics on TV here. What they obviously didn't know, our Olympic committee being absolutely anti drugs, is the song is actually about some guys travelling around stoned of off their heads on weed!😂
When they say "head full of zombie" that was one of the popular at the time really strong strains going around. Zombie Heads.
Admittedly though, I cant stand Vegemite. Vile stuff it is! 😝

Garage sale find. Rosewood.. but... Brazilian (money) Honduran, Indian...

That’s hilarious! 😆 It’s funny when someone uses something and doesn’t understand the actual meaning. One of my teachers one year repeatedly used snafu every time something went wrong. Of course all of us army brats knew what it meant but that poor civilian didn’t have a clue and we just let her keep going. 🤫

I had to google that😂

Evening all :)
Shopping yesterday on the way home. Saw a great crio vac ham hock. $20 for $4. 😀
This morning first thing in the big pot on its own im filtered water. Hours later finely chopped potato, carrot and onion. Fine to let all their flavour out.
Later, 1kg of butter beans. 1/2 mashed to well.... mash 😂
What other flavours? Just 1 large table spoon of Holbrooks Worcestershire Sauce. That's it. Half way through cut up the ham hock to let the flavour out.
Tasteless? No herbs, no other stuff?
Sometimes things are just good left minimum. Like some recipes for fish with this and that and so on and in the end you wouldn't know what fish it even was.
I didn't tell the misses what I did.
She had it and was "that was beautiful! What was in it?"
At first she thought I was joking at the minimal ingredients.
Iv always been less is best to be honest.👍

Hi. Thanks, yeah im minimum additions if I make a fish soup too. I like to taste the main thing.
My misses is Italian and as much as I like Italian food 🤫 they spoil so many flavours by using tomato sauce and paste so the dominant flavour is.......... tomatoes. So some dishes I make her recipe minus the tomato. Im winning her over with some. 😁
Only taken me 40yrs😂

I finally found a coin at my mystery house! Just a penny, but hey, I'll take it! More detail and pics here.

That Indian head is looking good, its in good nic on the link! I love those coins. Found just 1 here but whats the odds here. Was in poor condition but when I realised what it was 😀👍

Not sure yet. Any neck inlays are beyond my patience. :laughing7:
Ok. Wondered because I sold several months ago a Morris Hurricane Susie that had an inlay dark colour like that on the back of the neck. A session guitar. Im not total wreck but my hands as ive got older from punching things are not what they used to be and playing anything was over, 5 minutes Im done. Advertised it and a guy from Melbourne who collects Morriss came and bought it. Loved it, it was in perfect condition from the late 70s.
I grew up with a lot of players in bands, I just played for fun.
Good friend, haven't seen in years, played and still does for an Aboriginal group Coloured Stone. He's the lead guitarist. I'll be honest he is miles ahead better than he plays in the band. He was awesome playing anything lead. I remember jamming with him playing blues on my harp. Fun days back in the 80s. He, Sal, played at the handing over of Ayers Rock back to the Aboriginal community in the area. Funny story when I bumped into him later. He said after he played he was like a rock star there in Alice Springs. The band was invited back for a huge get together with the main Aboriginal community there in the bush. Ayers Rock became after that Uluru in the Aboriginal tongue.
Anyway, huge party, Sal's the man there. Everyone wanting to know him.
Nights getting on bit of a ceremony going on and suddenly the Tribe leader comes up to him with some girl, young woman. Sal's huh!? It was a marriage ceremony and they were presenting him with his wife 😂
He said "hey, she was pretty good looking but I wasn't getting married and got out of there as quick as I could" 😂
They still play to this day. Its kinda a reggae bush style thing. But if you saw him play even today as I did a few months ago on TV you think, he's nothing great. Iv seen him and jammed with him way back and he can seriously play some crazy lead stuff. Just that the music they like outback isn't what he can really do. But he found where he wanted to be in life and is happy so im happy for him.

Inlays can get tricky. I can re-fret, do fret re-levels, crown ,polish, but I would rather replace the neck or fingerboard then attempt any inlays.

Fancy!!
