He gets up before the dawn
Packs a lunch and a thermos full of coffee
It's another day in the dusty haze
Those burnin' rays are wearing down his body

And diesel's worth the price of gold
It's the cheapest grain he's ever sold
But he's still holding on

He just takes the tractor another round
And pulls the plow across the ground
And sends up another prayer
He says, "Lord, I never complain, I never ask why
But please don't let my dream to run dry
Underneath, underneath this Amarillo sky"

That hailstorm back in '83
Sure did take a toll on his family
But he stayed strong and carried on
Just like his dad and granddad did before him

On his knees, every night he prays
"Please let my crops and children grow"
'Cause that's all he's ever known

He just takes the tractor another round
And pulls the plow across the ground
And sends up another prayer
He says, "Lord, I never complain, I never ask why
But please don't let my dream run dry
Underneath, underneath this Amarillo sky"

And he takes the tractor another round
Another round, another round
And he takes the tractor another round
Another round

He says, "I never complain, I never ask why
But please don't let my dreams run dry
Underneath, underneath this Amarillo sky"

Underneath this Amarillo sky

Not sure, but damn cool piece that I might have to preserve.
First glance it inserts thin ways vertical like into the edge of a door. (Longest flat edges would mount flush and have a screw hole each end. An upper and a lower.
(Push buttons used to show on some old ones on that edge.)

Which yours doesn't due to obvious keyhole location.
i still don't have it figured. Just one of those mornings. L.o.l.

Alright.
I've circled and landed.

Back to original impression, mortise lock.

Rum room . Gun powder room. Captains quarters. Door on a fortress. Door to get to safe door after?
That is one BIG lock.

I'm not familier with ships hardware. Not recalling door locks on any even.... Ouch.

What a bummer!!! That's a great bike.
2000 bucks, 6000 miles, rode very little. Of course I wasn't able to check it out..... So I looked at a Yamaha XT, did not like!
:BangHead:

I know what you mean 🌼 😏:
But, if I don't take mine for a walk👨‍🦯regularly, it starts leaving piles of pull tabs all over the house! :angel12:

Doing more clean up before the snows hit.
Pushing a few trees off the end of the shop lot.
Skidsteer sunk up to the pan.
Tractor wouldn't pull it back out.
So 3 chains hooked together I headed down the hill.
Pulled it half out and then I put the tractor in neutral.
I just jumped in the skid steer and drove it out in reverse sideways.

Tractor stopped at the bottom of the hill.

Always fun working by oneself.

If tomorrow works out I'll get the plow on for the Wednesday dump.
