So I inherited a broken fan rake in April.
I bought cases of new surplus rake handles for $ .25 each.
So I repaired this great metal fan rake.
The Mrs ❤️ it, rakes leaves great.
She said probably it would cost $30 in a store.
So I looked up quality metal fan rakes.

What is wrong with this world?
There's many starting @$300.00 each.
This one better be magic.

It wasn't just one site, many brands had rakes priced out in the many 100's.
The leaves would be a permanent fixture if I was to pay those robbers.

The leaves would be a permanent fixture if I was to pay those robbers.

I got this for when I have to walk into a spot and need to rake some thick leaf litter or other stuff off of what might have gold underneath. Beats carrying a full size one. Extends to 5 foot and you can adjust the tines spacing too.
$35 if I recall right. Handle scewif in the quick picture but you can straighten it.
Great for what I use it for. Used it a fair bit. Now n then need to readjust a tine but lasted well.

Chores ran long yesterday. Another weekend of no detecting. 🙄

On the plus side, the wife commented that she thinks the truck is running better now than it ever has. (And so far, I agree.)

There are no hotel vacancies for 100 miles ... including Orlando ... which has more hotels than anywhere.
People will be fleeing by the millions.

Arc. Im devastated to hear this.
Last night we listened to radio show from the US about things in the last one.
I don't think I can put a link as it was something here Chri...... Polit......
But what we heard, we listen to stuff at night here from world news, brought tears to our eyes.
If that makes contact there after what we heard. Not hot air, not just words, but seriously, God help you and all my friend.

This my online friends is a worst case scenario... the one i have always warned about.

Now its just down to its size ... speed ... strength... and where it hits.

Very little working against it so...

No matter what... pure devastation ALL around and THROUGH us.

This is going to be bad..... very bad.

But not that far inland.
I will be in a 4 year old modern coded structure with back up generators.

If direct hit... or other factors... i will not be far enough or in strong enough.

We dont have many choices other than to just run... and keep running.

So far from what we understand... Ocala was closest place to get place...
