Cleaning up in the garage today. A mud dauber wasp had made a nest on a length of rope I had in there. They're pretty cool, can sting but never do.
Large though, maybe couple of inches long or so. Thankfully for it the nest was on just the last few feet of the rope and not in the middle so I cut it off to leave on a shelf. Several cells with one egg in each and a feed of probably a caterpillar or two and maybe a spider to feast on when the larvae hatches.
