Well we woke up to another little dusting of the white, seems to be the theme of the week.

Spent the day yesterday removing cracked caulking that was done 6 yrs ago and it was just primed and not painted.
(Lesson to all-complete the process-or undo and redo the process)
Nothing like renovating the renovations (sarcasm implied-:laughing7:)
Probably a full day yet just to finish this task off-then to redo it again.
Sanding looks less of a task than the den area was, but still a task.

The love of real wood over MDF is real, one is an easy one is a pain, but the overall quality just not the same.

I wrote this at 7:30 this morning and it was just posted.
Something not right-Cap't!

I bought some equipment and things from a guy.
He had to keep most of it till he sold his house.
So it sold finally.
Now between now and the 3rd week in April stuff needs to move.
He's a 11th hr type guy like me, wait till the last minute.
He has now realized that he can't take everything and wants to store a trailer, wood splitter, 6 20ft steel beams.
I guess I can do this for him.
I bought 2/3 roll of steel mesh, roll of 4pr 18ga. insulated armour cable, and a 16ft covered trailer. (Needs some TLC.)

Paid half, the Mrs went to give him the other half.
What's that for?
Guess he forgave the remaining $$$ for helping out for storage.

No vehicles 😁

I'm looking forward to getting the Thomas T245-HDK skid steer.
It's going to make life easier for me.

Getting the riding lawnmower, the Mrs will be well trained.
(Life is looking up 🤣)

Good tires on the machine, 5 spares that are better than my tractor treads.
Bouncy tires.
Operated for 13 yrs in the scrap yard, awesome toys to own.
Renting is a thing of the past now.
It's counterweight is going to make a big difference when lifting..

Neighbor had tons and tns (and tons) of dirt hauled in by a contractor and worked.
Contractors employee running a tracked skidsteer had it down to the finest art.
Almost like a ballerina using a broom! L.o.l..

As a youth on one of the farms I worked on I lost a bucket off the front of a skidsteer in a manure pile while pushing. Was delighted to fish it out almost right away with a little finesse. Psheew!
Useful critters though.

I took over a stalled job in Clermont Florida. Met today with the threshold inspector & pumped grout in the structural block walls. It is an electrical building for the expansion of a water treatment plant for the city. This is what I saw from a cat walk across a holding tank. Yes that is what it looks like & yes those men are down in it shoveling poo 💩! When you get sick & tired of your job think of these poor guys. I'm impressed & respect

I spoke to a guy that got the bottom of the crap tanks in Toronto.
Gold, and a fair amounts of it, heavy and it sits on the bottom.
That's why some have that $hit eating grin on their face.

I lived in Clermont for a number of years back when it was a small town
