I am not sure, but I think you can take him John. Sneak up behind him and get him in a head lock
I'm sure I could lol. Though I think many don't understand how much damage a huge tom turkey can do. If they get you right they can make deep cuts and also the wing has a bone in it they hit you with that is powerful and can bruise you pretty bad.

Never mind! It appears you are outmatched. You should go online and try to find some defensive Turkey Spray. Might be hard to find so pick up some Bear Spray.

Eh the many sticks laying around work well enough. Keeps the beast at bay. Normally is quite easy to keep him back and in check just have to pay attention lol

I am not sure sticks are enough. I found his picture on a Combat Turkey site.

Hey Bart
You said you were thinking of getting one, just to let you know it works GREAT ! Loading the boat is fast & easy (you just have to have the proper water depth ,on the trailer (not to deep or shallow). And as you can see the eye on my

boat bow isn't big enough for both of my winch strap hooks . Took 5 minutes to install at the ramp, and came with great directions:occasion14:

Good day to you too Traveller. Lol I have to face the Turkey every morning so wish me luck. I ended up having my grandmothers fence gate do more damage than the turkey did to my thumb yesterday. Closed the heavy sliding gate and managed to slam my thumb in it and bust it open right below the finger nail. Was such a pleasant feeling. Wasn't my day yesterday lol.
Geez man! I feel for you.I,ve done that and it HURT! Not gonna help your thumb, but I,m sending some sympathy your way! Be careful man!

Let's hope so lol. Funny thing when I smash my thumb I didn't feel it at first. I just heard the crunch. I was like oh well that can't be good kept walking to the house not wanting to look at it. Got in and then the pain hit a nice pulsing pain and a stream of blood. Was highly unpleasant for a few minutes and for whatever reason I get nauseous at first with wounds like that so had to keep myself composed lol
You got nauseous? I,d have pulled a Jerry Nadler if you get my drift?

Most my clothes I use outdoors have holes. I'm rough on clothes so I have clothes I use for when I'm in town and my regular outdoor stuff. I'm always exploring, going through brush, working in the yard, around metal work and welding so my clothes can take a beating.
In other words, you clean up nice!:laughing7:

No lack of knuckleheads, just read the posts!:tongue3:
:tongue3::tongue3::tongue3::tongue3::tongue3::tongue3:
You hit a couple of pet peaves crash.
1. I do not understand why people post and ask opinions on something and then get irritated when your answer does not fit their idea or opinion. I have seen some of them even get irate. I go to silly land when they do that or just leave and never fool with them again.
2. Nearly as irritating is the person that posts and you answer and they never acknowledge your post. Or cone back with snide remark.

It seems there are more of the newer folks like that recently. They do not seem to have any raising.

That is my rant for the day. I am done now.
