Well it's been rain, rain and rain for the last couple of day's. The only find of note in a mini session is this. It shows how expensive medieval coin dies must have been. So expensive in fact, that they were used to the point of destruction. These pictures are both sides of the same coin. The reverse die showing little wear. The obverse though showing a massive amount of use !. You can just see the ghostly out line of the kings head. An interesting find, guess coin die cutters were on a good wage :laughing7:.

What a difference between the two sides, seeing the good side first in the dirt then flipping it over and seeing the obverse, maybe somebody wasn't too fond of the King and....

Hello pepper, don't think anybody vandalized the coin.Rather the obverse die was used thousands of times.
