In the realm of cryptography, few puzzles have captivated the minds of enthusiasts like the Beale Ciphers. This series of three enigmatic texts has stumped many for generations, but recently, I proudly achieved what no one else has been able to do—I cracked all three Beale Ciphers in 2014 using the legendary key! The thrill of this achievement is indescribable.

I embarked on this journey in 2009 with determination, armed only with my passion for puzzles and a formidable database of historical texts. Each precious clue in the ciphers opened doors to the secrets hidden within the Beale treasure legend, weaving a tale of adventure that spanned years.

I will say that page two of the code features a dual cipher; the first code transitions into the second code on page two.

Have you recovered the treasure yet? Any photos?

JohnnyRev, glad you solved it. I got stuck when I found the A through P string when the key for Declaration of independence on cipher 1.

Your statement "I will say that page two of the code features a dual cipher; the first code transitions into the second code on page two" has something to do with the string?

Sir I'm glad you were able to solve this mystery and hope you can recover this illusive treasury.

It sounds like you've worked very hard on this. I know the feeling. I've been working on a mystery for 25 years now. I think I've solved it but restricted from actually digging up the location.

We wish you success.

Perhaps you may wish to check out some of the postings on TNet where it has already been identified that the Beale Code story is a later version of an earlier, well circulated treasure story called 'Treasure Mountain' from the 1840s.

it seems someone went to great extents to develop the ciphers to do a retell of a well circulated story.

I don't know much about them myself. I did read the Wikipedia article on it.
I do say that the Legend of Troy was thought to be fake, a retelling of other events.
Then Schliemann discovered the city. Now scholars, say yes, Troy is real, but the Trojan war is fake and made up? I also know Christen scholars once said the earth was flat and the heavens revolved around the earth.

I personally hope the story is true and Mr. JohnnyRev or someone does discover the treasure. Whether large or small. It's the quest that counts.

Congratulations! You are the 1000th person to correctly crack the other two ciphers!

The most common consensus is that it's in Bedford County, Virginia. However, many have searched and not found it. But I say that they just didn’t have the right tools. A LIDAR Scanner is the answer. They've used these bad boys to find the graves in Machu Picchu and hundreds of other historical sites. It uses laser pulses to find stuff under the ground. They’re really expensive, but bring one to Bedford (or anywhere you think there's some big treasure, and you'll get the biggest score of your life.

From my understanding, it's within 4 miles of Buford's tavern. That's 50 sq mi or 1,393,920,000 sq ft. It might take a little time to scan that much area.

European treasures. two of them. One I believe I have narrowed the location. But the current government, Serbia, is not open to excavations.

True, but for millions of dollars and international fame, I think it's worth it

The most common consensus is that the Beale treasure is a hoax. But that's another thread.

LiDAR can only do surface mapping, it can't see underground.

Yes, but they are used to find land patterns that point to stuff underground, then map them. That's what they used to find the entrance to the famous Incan tomb in Machu Picchu.
