It's very simple and the item comes with complete instructions.
Attach the elastic section to your shaft (either loop it around or slip it over and down the shaft), slip your non detecting arm through the harness loop, place the harness strap around the top of your shoulders and lead it down your chest right next to your detecting arm, clip the harness back to the elastic section. Adjust the length of the harness and the location of the elastic strap to have your detector glide over the surface as you effortlessly swing.

I got one in the mail today and tried it out in the house. Man does that Detecting Buddy Harness take the weight off.
I don't know why I waited so long to get one. Now that my arm is shot I'm really going to like this.

I just ordered one.

I have the Proswing. The Proswing is phenomenal, but just a little bulky. My arms have almost completely healed from the torn ligaments so I think that I will just need something a little easier to use like this harness. At this price, you can order a few and leave them hanging on the machine.

When attaching this strap to an AT Pro, if I mount it in front of the electronics, will i weaken the support structure? Should I attach it at the first "S" bend or in front of the detector, (in front of the battery compartment)??

BTW... it is a great product.. worth every penny.

Attach it right in front (towards the coil) of the back of the detector....past the spot where the coil connects...

Thanks,,, Listen... I have been using this device for a month now..
This truly is the greatest thing since sliced bread...
Once I got it properly adjusted, it has saved me countless hours of having to switch hands to metal detect. The harness is awesome.. I set it up so there was some tension in the strap and this just about, perfectly holds the detector so all I have to do is swing... My arms and shoulders are forever grateful to you for inventing this.. The only thing that could make this better is a little more padding where it goes around the back of the neck. But this is great, and I have been telling everyone about it.
