the metal rock

I was at the shore and got signal only to find this rock. Pretty sure anywhere you go is full of rocks so this is really uncommon whatever it is. It's mostly smooth, glassy, and shiny and with my pinpointer parts (the smooth shiny parts, would the majority of it) of it give a good signal but some nothing. I looked it up and I don't know what I have here. It's also very hard, not able to easily break it. I looked up hematite but I don't think so after looking at what the test for it is. I can only think of some obsidian based on the texture embedded in something else like a hard coal.

i believe a fresh one would have a glassy covering from heating on entry and i think you may find the glassy covering would have ripples in it from wind pushing against the molten glass.
