No one can mess around with the pictures on your computer, just here on the forum. You were done a service because your pictures are so big we can't tell much about them and I can't even get them on my screen they are so big! That being said, the first picture is obviously a cast lead toy that is typical of the the period from the twenties up to around the second world war. There were some older ones, but during that period you could buy a kit to cast figures at home. They often came out looking ragged around the edges from first trials. The second item looks like some kind of spool, perhaps that held solder? I'm no expert on lead figurines, so someone else can probably pin it down closer. Monty

Calmate, primo! You obviously have a good camera, so it possibly has an adjustment for image size. You should find one one that is called VGA, which shoots at a smaller size for e-mail attachments. Before I figured this out on my camera, I sent pictures out that took 2 days to send and 3 days to look at. I won't mention any camera brands, but yours surely has something similar to that so you don't have to photo shop it in your computer. Keep us posted on what else you find. Adios and later.

I thank the one who resized my image. I did not mean to come across in a way that seemed disrespectful. Sometimes when you write instead of speak to a person, the writing may come across a little harsh it seems ,but just wanted to make sure about the pictures thing because of what I read in the license agreement. It said something about being able to lock the pictures from others being able to mess with them, that's all it was, and I still don't know how? I'm going to try a few test runs with pic on another page until I get it right. Thanks.

I use a couple of different methods for resizing, but as RGINN recommended it is best to start with the camera setting in VGA.
Try this for resizing - Use the right click on your mouse on the picture you want to resize from your files. In the menu which appears, got to the 'Open with' option. This should open a smaller menu from which you (left) click on 'Paint'. The pic will then open in a new window in Paint. On the menu along the top, select 'Image'. On this new menu select 'stretch and skew'.
You will then be able to replace the Horizontal and Vertical values with whatever value you require. You can go larger or smaller. Let us know how you get on.

Notgittinany,

I have that picture re-sizer program, but, alas - cannot seem to make it work properly.

Is there a trick to keeping the clarity and dimensions or am I missing a step? (I use paint).

Just found out that the link no longer works. Just type free photo editing programs into your browser, and go from there. Mrs.oro, you can resize to smaller, but if you try to reverse process and make them normal again, they will be really fuzzy. That is why I do not erase pics off of my camera till I am satisfied with my results.

Paint is old school. I use Nero Photosnap Viewer Essentials. Sounds complicated but is much easier resizing. Go to My Pictures or your files, right click on pic, click on open with, click on Nero, Click on edit, click on resize and/or crop. It comes free with Windows XP. Try it you will like it.

the spool looking piece, looks like a toy we would make as kids with a sewing thread spool and string. when you pulled the string on each side it would spin and make a sound.I have seen metal ones.
