IMG_0777.JPGIMG_0778.JPG I hunted a soccer field for ninety minutes before the heat got to me and only dug the usual clad.....19 coins worth $2.91. The autumn weather can't get here soon enough.

I hear ya Ed, I was out yesterday, between the bugs and the heat, I can’t wait for fall. Just think, I can wear a hoodie and my vest and I’ll have all those extra pockets (:

Nice!!! Congrats!!! Come On Fall!!!

I wear cargo shorts in the summer and cargo pants in the cool weather. They have extra pockets for all the junk like spare batteries.

Nice!!! Congrats!!! Come On Fall!!!
Thanks Digger......

I don't know how you did 90 minutes! I'd never make it that long.

I spent the last 30 minutes under a tree so I could hunt in the shade. :laughing7:

I'm with you on the heat and "Come on Fall!". I follow my "grid" pattern closely. It resembles the outline of any tree giving shade.

That's a good way to do it.....

Thanks Professor......We got a reprieve today, temps on the low 70's and low humidity. Won't be much longer until nice weather.

I tend not to complain about the heat as I know what is in store in a couple months - I'm much more of a summer guy plus I work outside alot so am conditioned to the heat.

Summer heat and winter cold.......could do without both but can't change the weather.:laughing7:

I’m right there with you between the temperature plus the humidity I’m averaging an hour a hunt and I’m drenched.

Better weather will be here soon.........I hope ! Worse summer weather I can remember in a long time.

nice finds! heat here has been tough so basically staying in the water with the 1280x, much more pleasant and find more jewelry too ahahaha

California in the valley is hot nonstop in the summer. Stubborn me will be out in 100 degrees searching for hours. I get so determined to find something I just won't give up. Fortunately for me my body seems to handle hot temperatures well. I know it isn't the safest thing to do so I don't recommend people do what I do.

Thanks.....water hunting is definitely the way to go in the summer.

Up until a few years ago I could hunt in hot temps but age (74) has caught up to me and I just can't take the heat like I used to. I used to be able to hunt when the temps were in the 90's and hunt for many hours. Too risky now.
