My Father Found The Pennies

It was my Dad's (Charles E. Bell) 21st Birthday, and he shot a 7-point buck on December 15, 1954 in the Hawstone Mountain. He spotted the pennies shining in the light when he stopped to take a break from dragging the deer out of the mountain. He was with my Uncle John Dubendorf and John's Brother Albert. When my Dad discovered the pennies they all began digging them up. Both John and Albert have passed away now. The pennies are from what is called "The Great Train Robbery of 1909" by the Lawler Brothers.

I spoke with John Dubendorf in person before he passed. He wouldn't disclose anything regarding the location to me either.

I do wonder what he thought he was protecting? It's just some pennies.
