Hey everyone,

My wife and I went to the University of Washington football game today but I had just enough time before to sneak in a hunt.

I spied a bombed out 1940s house last weekend while driving around and decided I wanted to try the sidewalk strips around it next chance I got.

I pulled up this morning and got a wheat and old Jefferson right off the bat. Struggled on for a while and picked up a few Wheats. I went sideways instead of longways on my way out and got a typical zinc penny signal (12-33) at 3 inches. I was pretty shocked to see a big silver rim peeking out from the dirt. Turns about it's a '45 walker and was in the hole with a staple and a pull tab. Pretty awesome! Also, managed a naval button on one of my last digs.

Here's the eye candy:

Thanks for looking and happy hunting all!

Thank you, agreed! Only my second ever. I was thrilled when I saw that's what it was. Based on the age of the area I was thinking a Franklin was more likely.

Congrats on the big silver, keep it up brother

Congrats on the walker! It remains on my bucket list. You’ve inspired me to detect a sidewalk strip near a park I’ve been to but have not done that area yet.

That walker is absolutely bee-u-ti-full!! nice haul.
