Snuck out for 1 more early morning hunt before I go on vacation. Sadly where I'm going on vacation isn't the type of place you can do much digging. So I get to a park I've hunted maybe 50 times before, just hoping I could sneak out a few wheats or a Barber dime I missed on my last runs, when 15 minutes in I get a 1929 penny. Then the very next beep sounds very similar, deep sweet 78-79 on the Deus. I was thinking an outside chance for an Indian when I cut a plug and see a flash of orange. "That's too bright to be a pull tab" I thought. And then I saw it! GOLD! A beautiful ladies gold ring with what looks like a ruby stone. I was flying high after seeing the ring and stopped at least 5 times to look at it since I couldn't concentrate! Turns out the ring has a pinkish stone that I think is a ruby and two marks on the back OKAR and 750 so it might be 18k. It was a thrill to dig and I even scored an 1888 Indian penny on the way out of what we call the "Barber zone" of this park. It was almost a Chuck Norris kind of a day!

What a sweet ring! Nice to find such a gorgeous piece of gold in a place you've hunted before. What frequency were you using? Any gold I've ever found with the Deus rang up mid 50's.

Hello JerseyDigger19. That was a nice hunt!

Sweet ring...looks like an oldie too. Don't know what "OKAR" means but the "750" does mean 18K (according to the net.)

Add a wheatie and an 1800's IHC...NICE! Good Luck out there. C9

Bingo! Congrats on the nice finds.. :occasion14:

Congrats on the lovely gold ring. Always a joy to score the gold. Indians always make me smile. Nice hunt.:icon_thumleft:

Congratualtions on the nice gold ring! :occasion14:

totally beautiful, were you using 18kz? I am and those numbers are pull rings for me (which I dig)
