Hey all,
Been a long time since I posted. Didn't get out detecting too much last year with opening up a new business. Have been out the about 6 times this year so far...all in the past 3 weeks or so.
So far I have found the following goodies in April.
Found 4 Silvers so far. 42, 54, and 64 Quarters. And a 1959 Rosie.
Found a 1919 and 1928 Buffalo Nickel as well as an 1891 Liberty Nickel.
I found the 1954 Quarter and 28 Buffalo in the same hole...and it was the very first hole I dug this year!!! Talk about starting the year off right.
Got an 1889 Indianhead as well as an Indianhead that was one of the older ones...like 1860-1864 if memory serves me right. Can't get the date yet, but its a thicker one and rang closer to a nickel than copper.
Also have about 15 wheat pennies and scored one of my best finds a few nights ago...
My first 2 cent piece...an 1864. I didn't clean it up at all yet. Cant see the date without glass anyway, so only posting a pic of the back.
1864 2 Cent Piece...
54 Quarter and 1928 Buffalo
1889 Indianhead and 1891 Liberty Nickel
1942 Quarter with 4 clad quarters found the same day
1959 Rosie and Canada Militia Button. Research I found indicates the Canada button was made between 1852-1870.
1919 Buffalo Nickel
1891 V Nickel and 1941 Wheat Penny AFTER Electrolysis...my first attempt at that. The Wheat Penny was caked with green...cannot believe how it looks now.
