Can't say to much about this as it is only my second trip with my BH Quick Draw II. I live in a half and half rural residential neighborhood in Tennessee. There is equal farmland to housing and neighborhoods here. Of course what most don't realize the land they sit and live on was once all farmland owned by my great grandfather. I know a good deal about the land from what my late grandfather was able to tell. Like knowing on the right day you can see the remnants of an wagon trail in our front field which goes for about 40 feet then disappearing. it reappears on the neighbors property which it curves around to my aunts farm.
Anyway, I went out to look at a new area in our field which is currently covered in sage grass :BangHead: nasty stuff, really slows everything down. Can't get the coil low enough to the ground and it's generally hard to use it in the stuff. However I have been doing some finding so I guess I'll post it here then. I'm overall thrilled so far, finding what I used to find plus some. Groupfinds1.jpg
The Bolt looks like copper to me..Gave off a noticeably different tone than the other nails did..

Thanks for looking guys and gals, gonna go out again tomorrow as it is gonna be nice out!

Your bolt is a splice bolt for electrical wire........I can't remember the name right off the top of my head
I think it's "kerney" or something similar. And the piece of metal that looks kinda like a knife blade might be a part of a "******* File"
And then again maybe not!............Welcome to the nightmare.......................HH

You can't call it that.
You have to say "Product of sinful coupling outside of wedlock" file.

WELCOME TO T-NET! Really super that you're detecting on land belonging to your family for generations! Keep at it to find many surprises! I notice you also collect bottles, so possibly you've already found the farmhouse dumps for digging them. For metal detecting as well as bottles, look over the properties for evidence of old foundations & cellars. Often the yearly canned goods put up by the farm wife were stored on shelving in the basement, or sometimes in a small underground stone or concrete cellar separate from house and barn. There's at least a couple guys on t-net that locate the old privy, then dig out the many bottles sometimes tossed in there, proving that treasure is where you find it, lol. HAVE FUN! Andi

Welcome:hello2: Nice:thumbsup:
