Today's word is infinity.

This word requires some prerequisite commentary.

Fortunately, thanks mostly to Toy Story 1, most people have at least heard the word.

Infinity has both a positive and negative connotation.

1. positive
2. negative

Most people are aware of the positive but not the negative.

The positive is: "The place you come to after you've been traveling forever."

The negative is: "The place you come to after you've been traveling forever in the wrong direction."

The positive is an old definition but the negative was discovered by me in the early 60's during Math Class.

P.S. As we continue this dictionary feel free to correct your Webster's.

Badger, I think your definition of 'Infinity' is destined to catch on

Jeez Teach, is there going to be a quiz?

I'd like you infinitely better if you overlook the infinite possibility of quizzing us on the infinite uses of the word "Please Don't"....

You see the infinite possible uses for "Please & Don't..". infinitely endless...

whew!

[h=2]the dictionary according to Michigan Badger 3[/h] Today's word is paragorically.

Paragorically is a very interesting, fun, and useful word. Used mostly in a somewhat negative tone, it really knows few limitations. The main reason for this is because nobody really knows what it means. It sounds important and that's what matters.

You will find this word all over the internet and hear it in many speeches. Television script writers often use it. For example:

"Paragorically, I will not let you ever talk about our sex life." Archie Bunker, All in the Family (Carroll O'Connor)

So, whenever you wish to sound important but worry about using a big word the wrong way, remember paragorically. It is one of many nonsense words that just sound so believeable that we buy into them.

Paragorically speaking, you're too awesome for words!

cogitate -- it's a word you best think about for a minute or two before deciding to use it

Does one cogitate in a circle?

Is a cogitator a BADASS or a Jerk?

Probably a Paragorical speak...

Or do Badasses (aka, Jerks) sit in circles and cogitate paragorically...

Whew

Wow,

Want to join my Paragorical Circle...can teach you sum badass habits...

Cogitate on it...

why does the word "cogitate"even exist ? just think about that for a minute -- the word "think " would fit the bill just as well -- it must exist so "upper crust 'type" folks have a "fancy" way to basically say -- " give me a few minutes to think about it"

This conversation is getting deep............I'm staying in the shallow end.
