Absolutely outstanding!!! You have given me a goal to reach the 200+ coin-in-a-day milestone level now!

How does your body feel? My hamstrings and finger is still sore from Saturday's 121 coin day haul. I'll try again this coming Saturday.

Have you ever reached the 5,000 or 10,000 coins in a year milestones?

Would like to see a closeup up that Gold ring... Keep up the good fortunes!!

That is a heck of a lot of coins Gregg... You must have Popeye forearms to swing that detector for 6 hours... I guess I could do the same if the coins were poppin like that... Congrats on the ring, what a bute....

Just imagine what you could have found if you would have been using an Explorer! ;D

I hope everyone knows for me the disagreements with the explorer users are all in fun! I usually get involved just to stir things up when they get boring! ;D

I am sore, blister on inner right thumb. But there is more to this story, ok first of all I found 50 of the coins at once! No it was not a coin spill though...It was in an area that used to be a garden in the park I was at. The garden has not been kept up and has become a little jungle, so I entered! ;D When i got toward the back I saw what I always look for..signs people have been around....here is what I found>>>half eaten sandwiches, empty whiskey bottles and used toilet paper. The smell was nasty! I noticed a tree with an unusal amount of leaves smashed down. The 50 coins were under the leaves giving one loud beep like a quarter but more like a pop can. I did not have my gloves with..first time this year..leaves right next to used toilet paper, but I moved the leaves :o It was $8.11 in clad, mainly quarters! Also later found out the bums/panhandlers live there so I guess I found their stash! :D Also had a run of 32 pennies on the surface in a row that I recovered in 20-25 minutes max! Also for all those who make fun of me digging the pennies all the time>>>The 14k ring was found after digging a penny signal that was hiding the ring...which was about 1/2 to 1 inch next to pennies once pennies removed re scanned hole and got a solid 14..usually foil, not this time! :o end of story.... Oh the close up of ring it is posted up a few...thanks for looking goal is till I pass for year 5500 coins $450 in clad. Then onward! ;)

Stellar Finds my DFX Compadre. Yet another Fantastic reminder of why I like this machine so much. As a still-greenhorn I am in awe of your finds.
Was it one of your custom programs or were you in coin/jewelry? How different was the sound from that of a 21 pull tab reading?
Please keep it up & HH.
DFX Texan - Randy.

Hopefully you get a chance to read above story! I used a program which copies the coin program.>>>

Slight changes which to win with the dfx I think you have to do!>>>

As far as the sounds..this one came in with a vdi reading of 14...foil range...but if you have gotten used to the sound of foil on your dfx, it is a hollow sound, this was a strong solid repeatable hit!!! :) :) :) :) The pulltab range you are talking about gives me more of a broken signal....i am not big on digging broken signals even though you might have a chain or something else. Last week i dug a broken signal which was penny to dime up to quarter...was a Geneva watch...

Proving once again that digging the pennies can pay off big.
Nice haul !!
It'd be nicer if you'd "haul" it to my house. ;)

Nick there are two manilla folders look closely! ;D Also a nice blister on my inner right thumb! The ring actually I hate to tell you this was hidden by two pennies. Got the penny signal, found two pennies. When I swept over hole again, got a 14 reading on my dfx, usually foil! But sounded different, just left of where I recovered pennies about a 1/2 inch! 2 inches down.... :)

6 hours of hunting, 202 coins, $15.22 in clad, 2 rings 1 14k, one I think is junk.

And TWO pizzas... ;D Wow, nice haul- and finding the ring after digging two pennies is a testimonial to digging all those pennies...WTG

Gregg could you give us the details on this find... ;D ???

And the manila folder is only good for 100 coin days... ;) :D ;D

Congrats on making the DFX spin like a Vegas slot machine...WOW... :o :o :o

Congrats on the anello de' oro...(gold ring) it is very nice...

Way to go,

Nick

Great post !! I'm convinced now > I am getting a DFX !!

It is a great detector especially if a little tinkering is ok! But the installed programs work...But minor changes sure help! ;D
