The "Curse of Oak Island" Team... A+

Poor Geraldo, sadly that is what he is remembered for and he had no control over what was found or not found.. Kinda like the guys on Oak Island. Atleast they are finding a few little trinkets along the way... Which keeps them going. I'd guess if they had not found anything at all in their five years up to this point they'd probably left by now.. Sure the info of Templers/Crusaders possibly being there is nice but no one really cares who left the treasure or even what it is ( gold coins, Holy Grail, etc ) just find it or proof there was something there even if it is gone at this point.. Then we'll concern ourselves with who it was that left it...

With the caisson dropping about 10' into a void the next step would be to send the claw down and clean the caisson out. If things are inside the caisson, raise it up 5'-10' and send a diver down with a vacuum hose .

I mean yeah there's obviously a production going on because they have to make a TV show. No one wants to sit there and watch Gary scan a beach all day, we want to see the moment he makes a find, for example. Those kinds of things are to be expected and go without saying, frankly. But the rest is pretty legit in my opinion. I've been in contact with one of the crew personally for a while now. These guys aren't doing this just to bullsh*t everyone. They're actually going for this. I'd say they all deserve quite a bit of respect for what they've been able to achieve so far. The Oak Island legend has much more merit than a lot of other treasure legends out there. You're reactions don't surprise me though... most people live in a state of utter negativity/skepticism about anything that happens outside of their small bubble of perceived reality. This of course is why 99% of us are scrapping the bottom while the top 1% live like kings. Just the way of the world I guess.

But in terms of treasure hunting, these guys are already waaay above the level of most treasure hunters on here whether they find the vault or not. My hats off to them.

Way above???? Not sure how that is possible with them finding previously "planted" items in an attempt to justify their fluff filling episodes visiting far off places....far too convenient. This show is right there with the Mystery of the Superstition Mountains debacle that was short lived.

With all the man made caves/tunnels down there along with some naturally made ones there is no way to detect what is what with a sonar I don't think. The few times they have dropped some kind of sonar down a hole the info it send backs can't be replicated by a diver..

But it gives them another reason to provide another fluff filled show with the diver finding nothing in a hole in an area where the entire area has been dug down hundreds of feet in the past as well as having enough soil scrapped back to fill the ocean between oak island and the mainland.....It's been proven many times that nothing is currently on/under oak island.

I agree , if they had just waited an episode or two before springing the 1200 to 1600 lead cross(Gary said so ,so its gospel) then it might have been a little easier to take .....
I woudn't classify them as way above either ....They were on the island several years before the show started and Im sure they found a few things. Right now the separation between us and them is a few million dollars to throw at the problems. I sincerely hope they find something that sets the world on its ear.. but I won't hold my breath....

A major aspect of being a successful treasure hunter is the ability to gather the funds necessary to do anything more than scan a beach for bottle caps. When you add what they've been able to experience using their funds (operating some of the most powerful equipment on earth, traveling to historical sites all over the world looking for clues, not to mention OWNING AN ISLAND THAT HAPPENS TO BE A TREASURE TROVE) that together with the historical discoveries they've already made in their pursuit for this treasure... One is forced to humble himself for once in his life and accept the reality that these guys have already achieved way more than most treasure hunters will in their lifetime.
This is starting to get out of hand ... let's just put it this way.. your opinions are your own .. when you started this thread I just thought you were optimistic and enthusiastic. Then you mentioned being in contact with some one on the show .. .. my wariness meter began buzzing . More power to the brothers that are so blessed to have the wealth to chase a childhood dream. BUT So far, they are just treasure hunters like the rest of us. Hopefully they will be treasure finders...

ooooooo a facebook friend!!

really? perhaps you could list exactly what treasure they have found?

LOL, I'll be postitive as soon as they find something that they are looking for

so far they have found no treasure at all ( except from the tv show)

BTW Enoch, how would you like to buy a large section of California for a good price?

yeah just as I thought, words are easy, proof not so much

on another topic, what stuff have you found?

just google land prices in california

there ya go! and what exactly have they found in all these years?

no not history or knowledge, come on dude, besides a couple of surface coins, what?

Do I really have to go through the list with you?

Yes, lets. We'll contrast what was said to be found with what was actually found or bought off ebaY, or found and, gosh, lost to time (and scrutiny).

The race is not always to the swift, nor the fight to the strong . . . but that's the way you bet.

They haven't found squat. ANY Atlantic coast site would provide as much interesting material as they have uncovered.

but it is a waste of time and money for what they have found so far

that's what the Spartans said when another group said "if we have to come and defeat you we will do this an that"

the Spartans replied " IF"

it's obvious you are a fanboy so I give up. let me know when they hit the ark or the templar treasure

so, do you think hitler was living in argentina too?
