Hey all!

Got dirty today back at the old late 1600's farm. Finds were few and far between, but here are the highlights:

1897 Barber dime, 1940 Merc, undetermined Buffalo, slick flat button, and a very tiny, very curious button I'd like some help on...

First pic is for scale. The button is very small, and looks like it might be one-piece cast with a seam on the back. On the front, I could've sworn I saw a "/" and a double-digit number (20?) but after brushing it lightly and giving it a tiny bit of finger-grease I'm torn.

Here, let me flood you with some pics! :tongue3: What do you all think?

Annnnnnd... a couple more:

In the last few pics I think I see an '04'. Other times I see a spade/hearts symbols from playing cards. It may or may not have denticles. Or stars. Or whatever...

What do you guys make of it, if anything?

Thanks in advance, and hope you're all finding great stuff today!

Nice variety of coins, that would make my year!
You are very fortunate to have access to a site that old.
My guess on the button is a cuff or child's button but im no expert at all.
COINgrats and Happy Hunting!

The button just has blistering & was plain before it went in the ground, it may also indicate fire damage.

Nice old coins and relics. Perhaps Cru is right with the top of the button being "blistered"? She's a nice old button for sure.:headbang:

THATS SOME BAD MAMAJAMASSZZZZZZ

After a little peroxide, I think I can see an eagle on the button. Or... it might just be wishful thinking. ;)
