Well just got back.Blood results will be in Friday.Doc says no reason they should be any different than those in the past and I'll reach the 5yr milestone in august.He said for those who reach 5yr survival,have a very good chance of another 5yr or more,that is if the 3 pack of smokes a day don't get me and he said it was essential that I get steak and lobster at the CTH along with everyone else.

BTW Burdie,make sure you have a big bowl of chunky,not mashed,potato salad for Nana.She loves it!

However, after seeing all that squash River posted on FB yesterday, I will take a nice fried batch in lieu. Yum! :love10:

Nana from bama, and don't eat potato salad!!!! I would bring some of those squash, but I'd have to fight with two of my grandkids that live with me right now. The girl Jordan likes them stewed, and the Boy Ean loves them fried. He's not the only one. LOL. Looking forward to seeing everyone in Sept. I've got a daughter that is going on being cancer free for five years. This has been a hard five years to go through. Praying for Ron...

I am posting here and on the other thread this information. We have a place for 10 tents behind the motel. One way in and one way out. Well protected. No water or bathroom facilities. Water and bathrooms 4 blocks away at the ONE STOP till 11:00 PM. Showers at the fair building. First 10 tents have the space. Call the Caldwell motel for tent reservations. They would prefer no more than two or three to a tent.

You can also camp behind the one stop. No more than 4 tents. It is an open area. They take RV's there also.

Down in an around the city 4 dead, there is a missing baby, Gotebo, New
Castle hit hard there was a 1/2 mile wide EF5 went through there bad !

I talked to Stan earlier and he and Vic were OK. I tried to call you Evy, but I didn't have the right number in my cell phone...I didn't look in my phone book cause I got a funny e-mail from you shorty there after. :tongue3: ...so I knew you were OK. Hope Jim and others will check in soon. The weather this year has been a bugger. :-\

Hey, Gals and Guys, sorry I haven't chimed in lately. I have been substitute teaching at the Disciplinary Alternative School here in Kerrville. Monday was my last day for this school year. I received my letter for continued employment for next school year. No matter what, though, I am definitely planning on making it to CTH4 and I think my friend Darrell (the chef) will be also going.

Burdie,a word to the wise - make sure roy2bears has enough time for breakfast each day before hunt start times or else we'll all have to listen to the whinning all day.I know from Uvalde :wink:

Does any one have a telephone number for "the Caldwell Motel" that Burdie mentions so i can get a tent reservation?

Any chance of a controlled fire pit, hot dogs, refreshments and such?

Country Inn Opens
The Country Inn, formerly the Caldwell Motel, is open for business. The rooms have been newly remodeled, and the inn is under new management. Lori Haugh has a degree in Hotel Management. She has been running the Medford Motel for the past three years and decided the Caldwell Motel needed to be open as well. Lori and her mother, Nora Haugh, have been working on the inn for about three months and have given it a country theme. There are eight rooms and three cabins. A nice back yard with a grill and picnic tables will be available soon. There is also a patio up front. Each room has DirecTV.

Why did we even need to guess who the tent belonged to. It was the only one there with leopard print fabric hanging on the front. At the time the picture was taken, it was even still nailed down to the ground real good.

See you in September if the storms don't get us. We had to go to the basement here in Kansas City, KS today. We are near I-70 and I-635.

Everything OK here. We were in a panic for my daughters family. They showed the tornado on National TV heading straight for her house. It pulled up two miles from her house. You may of heard the National Weather center had to evacuate. She lives four blocks from that building. They have no storm shelter. Glad everyone so far seems safe.

A fire pit will be available at the motel site.

I think it's time for all the horrible weather to take a break from scaring the Bejesus out of everybody. I haven't been able to fish (not dirt fish) but once in three weeks with all the wind and lake warnings nearly everyday! These winds and storms should have come March not now! Oh well, looking forward to the hunt and a good can of Spam! Lol!
